Savoy Place apartments, named to honor iconic ballroom, set to open in Belmont-DeVilliers

September 4, 2020 – The Savoy Ballroom, a two-story night club in the historic Belmont-DeVilliers neighborhood, was the place to be on weekends before it fell vacant and was torn down in the 1990s. Now construction is wrapping up on a new $7 million mixed-use apartment complex, named Savoy Place to honor the history of the land it sits on.
