As Founder & Chief Development Officer, Josh is responsible for client-relationship management and being the Chief Fun Officer for the company. Josh has taken his love for construction and paired it with his passion for the Pensacola community in starting Bear General Contractors. Josh partnered with Chris Jaubert (Founder, CEO and long-time best friend) to build Bear General Contractors based on a positive construction experience, integrity and long lasting quality work for commercial projects.

Luke Pittman

PRESIDENT & CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

As President & Chief Operating Officer, Luke is in charge of the day-to-day business operations at Bear including all facets of successful project completion including pre-construction planning & estimating, scheduling, project management, quality control, safety, client satisfaction, administration, and project accounting. Luke is living proof that the good old fashioned American dream is achievable through shear determination, hard work, perseverance, focus, and a pragmatic approach to getting the job done no matter what it takes.

As one of Pensacola’s fastest growing companies, under Chris’ leadership with the help of great employees, clients and subcontractors, Bear has earned a reputation as a capable Best-In-Class General Contracting firm with a track record planted firmly on repeat clientele.

Chris grew up surrounded by construction since childhood and was inspired at an early age by his Uncle and Mentor, Steve Stumpf, who was a very well-respected CEO of a large heavy civil construction firm.

Beginning as a laborer, while attending Pensacola Catholic High School, Chris worked summers and weekends, alongside his best friend Josh Sitton, for a contractor who later became Chris’ father-in-law and yet another construction entrepreneur who would prove to be a positive influence.

Taking the advice of his mentors, Chris pursued Construction Management as a lifelong commitment by working multiple jobs in the building trades while earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from the LSU College of Engineering, following in his father’s footsteps, Jack Jaubert, who was in the first graduating class of the LSU Construction Management program decades earlier.

After college, Chris was fortunate to work for a Best-In-Class growing and thriving commercial construction company that specialized in healthcare construction, where he gained invaluable experience working under respected leaders in the industry.

After earning a reputation as a successful project manager, he was recruited as the Director of Operations for a general contracting firm that specialized in multifamily development and industrial building construction, which was successfully acquired by an International Industrial construction and engineering firm headquartered in Asia.

Experiencing that acquisition prompted and enabled Jaubert the opportunity to chase his dream of founding, owning, and operating Bear General Contractors with his lifelong friend, NFL veteran, and real estate developer Josh Sitton.

Personal Life

As a man of strong faith, Chris has also been involved as a member and supporter of multiple local churches and philanthropic/charity organizations such as the Catholic Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, Pensacola Catholic High School, the Florida Sheriffs’ Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Studer Community Institute, Autism Pensacola, Mr. Robbins’ Neighborhood, Pensacola Ballet, Southern Youth Sports Association, Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida, and numerous local churches of various denominations, to name a few. In 2019, he was recognized by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for outstanding support in helping to keep its promise to children and families battling cancer and other deadly diseases, and was most recently honored to serve on the Board of Directors of The Arc Gateway in 2020, an organization with a cause that is very close to his heart.

Aside from construction, Chris has a passion and love for the Pensacola greater metro area and is enthusiastically involved in the community and affiliated with many local professional organizations such as the Construction Specification Institute, Associated Builders and Contractors, NAIOP, AGC, CEO Roundtable, Pensacola Chamber of Commerce, American Institute of Constructors, Construction Management Association of America.

Chris likes to hunt and fish, but admits he is not good at either. He has also had a lifelong obsession for cars or as he says “anything on wheels that goes fast enough to have fun” but still has not been able to convince his beautiful wife Stephanie to let him get a “cool car.”

He spends all of his time outside of work with Stephanie and their two magnificent children, Jacques and Lola, and considers himself “blessed beyond belief” to be surrounded by great employees at work and loving friends and family at home.
